Rawdon Hills CHC faces funding crisis

On January 22, 2015 CTV News Atlantic reported on the funding crisis facing one of Nova Scotia’s most promising rural health services providers — the Rawdon Hills Community Health Centre.

The crisis stems from the lack of core operational funding from the Government of Nova Scotia to Rawdon Hills CHC and other CHCs throughout the province.

This major challenge was made into an actual crisis when the Nova Scotia Government announced that it was pulling physician services out of the community served by Rawdon Hills CHC and would not be providing new physician contracts to replace them.
